According to details, some unidentified persons shot dead a youth, Ghulam Rasool, near Sohrab Goth Police Station while body of an unidentified man, stuffed in gunny bag, was recovered from a car parking of Jinnah Hospital Ward No 12.

In another incident of violence, police official, Javed, was shot dead by some unidentified motorcyclists on Bakra Pairy Road in Malir. The deceased was working in investigation department of Malir city Police Station. In yet another incident of violence in Machar Colony, Mumtaz, a worker of political party, was allegedly shot dead by Farooq. Police have arrested Farooq and recovered arms from his possession.

Meanwhile, Rangers have arrested a man during a raid on the office of a political party while five alleged target killers were arrested from Banara Colony.
